The hotel is nestled in a serene area, surrounded by lush hills and the meandering Trebbia river. the location is ideal for a relaxing retreat or for those who want to organize a special event. the garden is perfect for an afternoon stroll. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable bed and modern bathroom. the breakfast was delicious, with a decent variety of choices.
The overall service was somewhat underwhelming, and some staff members didn't speak English very well.

A somewhat unexpected location in a 17th century fortified hamlet (something like a National Trust property). Its real plus is that the adjoining restaurant La Rochetta is fantastic, the cooking is top class (stars plus) with good local wines at excellent prices
the hotel was really just rooms, no hotel as such. Breakfast (good)meals was taken at the adjacent restaurant.

Beautiful countryside setting with scenic views of the castle. the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast is included with a wide variety of options, and the complimentary snacks at the bar were a nice touch.
Although the hotel is located in the countryside, it can be difficult to find without GPS. Be aware that the rooms can be noisy, especially during wedding celebrations, and the walls are quite thin.

The hotel had a unique charm that stood out during my stay. The beautiful scenery and historic castle nearby made for a picturesque location. The food at the restaurant was excellent and had many local dishes to choose from.
The room was a bit difficult to find at first and the noise from outside could be heard throughout the day. While the breakfast was decent, the area where it was served felt cramped and uncomfortable.

This hotel is a hidden gem tucked away in the Italian countryside. With its true historic castle setting, it offers a unique stay that is unlike any other. The location is perfect, being close to the beautiful Trebbia river and within easy reach of the surrounding area for special events or sightseeing. The staff here go above and beyond to ensure guests have a memorable experience, as demonstrated by Jennifer who personally lent us an adapter and Sabino, our fantastic waiter at the elegant restaurant. The rooms are comfortable and charming, with canopy beds, attic windows, and stylish furniture that adds to the overall ambiance. Lastly, the breakfast provided is a delightful start to the day, offering a wide selection of tasty options.
All was satisfactory, nothing to improve.
